Both Greenwich and Woolwich Town Centres are undergoing major regeneration programmes, not only including new homes and businesses but also public transport improvements and public realm enhancements to key thoroughfares.
At the same time the Council has formed a regeneration partnership that will encompass the entire river front of the Borough.
You will have recent experience of working with town centre partners in a regeneration context, need excellent communication skills, political awareness and the ability to motivate others as well as themselves.
This post sits within the Greenwich Waterfront Regeneration Agency which is based at 31 Thomas Street, Woolwich. The post requires flexibility in working hours as some evening and weekend work forms an essential part of the job.

Town Centre Management in Merton - outsourced contract

Merton Council is seeking to outsource the town centre management for four town centres (Mitcham, Morden, Colliers Wood and Raynes Park) for two years. For each town centre the service will work in partnership with town centre businesses, property owners, residents, community groups and statutory services to: encourage investment; promote and market the town centres as places to work, visit and live; advise and support local businesses including supporting a business forum in each town centre to give businesses a voice; improve security; facilitate improvements to the public realm and act as a conduit for communication with the council and other agencies; develop and organise an activities and events programme.

The deadline for the receipt of completed PQQs is Wednesday, 24th March 2010 at 12.00 noon. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender.
